Identity 101 eLearning

Security foundations that help teams hold credible conversations

The challenge

Baseline knowledge across teams was uneven. Reps needed enough identity and security context to run better discovery, ask smarter questions, and avoid product pitching too early. Long courses were not landing, and people needed a quick reference they could use before a call.

What we built

A starter course that explains the identity basics in plain language. Topics include IAM, SSO, MFA, lifecycle and provisioning, directories and federation, workforce vs. customer identity, Zero Trust fundamentals, and how business personas view risk and value. The course ships with:

  • Short videos and one-page explainers

  • A discovery question bank and conversation maps

  • Quick diagrams for common architectures

  • A manager coaching guide and a pre-call checklist

How it works

Learners choose a fast path based on time and role. Most complete the core in under an hour. A five-minute “before the call” pack gives talking points, diagrams, and a few smart questions to open the conversation. Managers use the coaching guide to reinforce the same moves in pipeline reviews.

Impact

  • Faster time to confidence in early discovery

  • More consistent language across sales and presales

  • Less time spent hunting for definitions and diagrams

  • Adopted as part of onboarding and used as a pre-req for deeper simulations

My role

Set the learning architecture, wrote the content, and built the quick references and visuals. Partnered with PMM, Product, and leadership to align on questions that matter in real deals. The team packaged and published for reuse in onboarding.

Fast facts

  • Vendor-neutral and role-agnostic

  • One hour to core understanding

  • Five-minute pre-call prep pack

  • Coaching guide for managers
